I am a computational biology Ph.D. student at the University of British Columbia, where I am developing an AI-driven functional metagenomics frameworks.

My focal areas of research are on deep learning methods for cellular and molecular interactions, protein design for therapeutics and bioremediation, virology, and immunology while aiming for equitable impact. My publications are available on Google Scholar.

Before pursuing my Ph.D. with Dr. Steven Hallam in the Hallam Laboratory, I worked as a Data Scientist and Software Engineer at global companies such as Intel and Accenture for several years.

I have also worked with Dr. Mahdi Belcaid at SAIL at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, developing viral focussed protein language models.

I obtained my Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Oregon under supervision of Dr. Boyanna Norris and Dr. Steven Fickas, with a concentration in machine learning and high-performance computing.
